Thanks Big Blue for providing coaching sponsorship. Jon Price kindly offered to spend some time coaching me as I'm struggling to work out the contest formula! The Big Blue Surf School are based in Bude usually at Summerleaze Beach. A great spot for beginners to advanced level. The set up of the bay with a harbour wall to the south and a swimming pool to the north of the beach is perfect for coaching. The pool provides an elevated spot for coaching and video analysis, and the harbour wall provides some shelter from strong S S/W winds.

Womens Pro Surf Academy
Gul work with The Big Blue Surf School by providing the coaches with Gul wetsuits. As a Gul team rider I was able to spend a day with Big Blue helping coach the ladies. The wind was howling onshore but that didn't seem to stop everyone having a great time. The sun was out and the girls were getting to their feet for the very first time despite the conditions. Full respect to the surf coaches at Big Blue!
